ISSUE 45

Celebration Children

Congratulations to the following children who have made us proud this week!

Reception - Archie for making great progress with his writing. He listens for sounds in words and is using his grapheme mat to spell longer words.
Year 1 - Iris has been chosen for her creativity and wonderful imagination as well as her kind heart.
Year 2 - George for having a mature attitude and being a shining example to us all. He is so hard-working and respectful to all of his class.
Year 3 - Arthur has been chosen for his enthusiasm and knowledge in our topic on volcanoes and earthquakes. His has great ideas and information to share.
Year 4 - Jasmine has been chosen for improved speed and stamina in his work. Mrs Boam is so proud of you!
Year 5 - Lexi has been working hard in all lessons and listening to instructions carefully.
Year 6 - Riley for his impressive effort in all of his work this week. Miss Thomas particularly enjoyed his use of parenthesis for his character description (and his origami frog Bam-Bam!)

Headteacher Awards

Every week, all members of staff are asked to nominate children who have been spotted being responsible, respectful and ready. The code of conduct certificates are always varied and demonstrate the range of places and ways that children demonstrate these values.

 Be Responsible

Well done to the children who have been responsible this week.

Rowan (Y3) has been spotted making sure all the breakfast club games are tidy, even when he wasn't playing with them.

Mason (Y5) has taken responsibility for his own learning and came back to finish a task without being asked.

George (Y6) has been able to take himself away from a situation that was causing him negative emotions - a very mature decision.

Be Respectful

Well done to the children who have been respectful this week.

Gabriel (Y3) has been noticed for ensuring that everyone is included in his class. Thank you.

Thomas (Y3) has come into school and greeted everyone with a smile this week. He always makes an effort to say goodbye to the adults at the end of the day, it doesn't go unnoticed.

A child in Year 1 has been so kind and considerate to his friend Henry, helping him to learn.
