Celebration Children

Congratulations to the following children who have made us proud this week!

Reception - Chester has been chosen for working hard on his sticker chart.  He is trying his best and has managed to fill his chart completely last week.  Well done!
Year 1 - Maddie has been chosen for making excellent progress in her writing recently - she is using her Phase 5 sounds to spell. Well done for always being so smiley and kind!
Year 2 - Fraser has been chosen for being very helpful and having super manners.  Well done!
Year 3 - Bobby has been chosen for showing great determination with his learning, especially his reading.  Well done! 
Year 4 - Dylan has been chosen for making a huge improvement and effort in his writing.  He is showing what a keen and knowledgeable learner he is.  Well done!
Year 5 - Teddie has been chosen for always taking great care to present her work neatly, and with pride.  Well done!
Year 6 - Madeleine has been chosen for her improved attitude towards her work and learning. She is demonstrating super listening, participation and resilience to learn from her mistakes.  Well done!


Headteacher Awards

Every week, all members of staff are asked to nominate children who have been spotted being responsible, respectful and ready. The code of conduct certificates are always varied and demonstrate the range of places and ways that children demonstrate these values.


 Be Responsible

Well done to the children who have been responsible this week.

Alfie (Y6) has been chosen for checking an adult was ok after seeing them trip at lunchtime.  Well done!

A child in Year 1 has been chosen for being kind and considerate to a class mate.  Well done!

Emmett (Y4) and another child in Year 4 have been chosen for helping to look after equipment around school.  Well done!

All children in Nursery have been chosen for noticing litter on the school playground whilst returning from Welly Wanderers.  They asked if they could clear it up as it didn't belong there.  What superstars they are!  Thank you Nursery, and well done!


Be Respectful 

Well done to the children who have been respectful this week.

Jenson (Y2) and Jacob (Y6) have been nominated for always being so polite when walking in to Breakfast Club.  Well done!

Lucy (Y6) and Annabel (Y5) have been chosen for always being so polite to adults in the school.  Well done!


Be Ready

Well done to the children who have been ready this week.

A child in Y4 has been chosen for being ready to learn all week.  Well done!

Eileen (Y3) has been chosen for always being ready to learn.  She has a fantastic attitude towards her learning, always has an idea and is willing to share it with the class.  Well done!

Our fabulous nursery children have been superstars today.  Having spotted some rubbish on the playground, they worked together to collect it all and improve our school environment.  In doing so, they have highlighted the need for a compost bin too.  Great work!

Year One - Geography

Reception Class Bird Feeders
The Reception class have been busy making bird feeders this week. We looked at lots of different designs and decided to make some with yogurt pots and toilet roll middles. We hung them out in forest school and we shall revisit to have a look at them to see how much has been eaten!

Year 6 Harry Potter Sorting Ceremony
This week our Year 6 pupils have taken part in their Harry Potter Sorting Ceremony! Each pupil had to use modal verbs and subordinating clauses to reason which house they should be sorted into… it caused a lot of debate!
