Celebration Children

Congratulations to the following children who have made us proud this week!

Reception - Iris has been making good progress in all areas. She tries hard in everything!
Year 1 - Jess for being amazing in her writing this week and always trying her best to shine.
Year 2 - A child in Year 2 has been chosen for always being responsible, respectful and ready. She is a wonderful person to have in our class. Thank you for being you!
Year 3 - Isabelle has been chosen for always showing respect to all adults in school - she such a super role model and a pleasure to have in class. 
Year 4 - A child in Year 4 has been chosen for his fantastic balanced argument, full of ambitious vocabulary and improved use of punctuation. 
Year 5 - Archie for always speaking to adults politely around school and for having a cheerful manner in class. 
Year 6 - Bethany for her excellent balanced argument in English this week. Riley has also been chosen for his improved attitude to learning this term. He has been a superstar in lessons and his work has demonstrated his effort. 


Headteacher Awards

Every week, all members of staff are asked to nominate children who have been spotted being responsible, respectful and ready. The code of conduct certificates are always varied and demonstrate the range of places and ways that children demonstrate these values.


 Be Responsible

Well done to the children who have been responsible this week.

Lucy and Kaicee-mae (Y5) for taking responsibility for keeping ou playground tidy and safe by choosing to do a litter pick. 

Layla (Y2) has been spotted making sure she takes care of her classroom and all the equipment she uses so well. 


Be Respectful 

Well done to the children who have been respectful this week.

The whole of Year 4 have been nominated this week for how fantastically they represented the school at the Haycop on Tuesday. 

Jenson (Y1) has been noticed for having such beautiful manners.

A child in Year 2 helped someone new to our school find a friend to play with. Thank you. 

Ollie (Y4) has been noticed for showing kindness to some younger children in school and spotting to have a chat with them.


Be Ready

Well done to the children who have been ready this week.

Bobby (Y2) has been making a real effot to be ready to learn on the carpet this week. 

Robyn (Y2) has shown she has been ready to listen and start are work without being asked.

Make Do and Mend
The Year 6s have been practising their sewing ready for their make do and mend creations next week.We practised: running stitch, whip stitch and blanket stitch.Can’t wait to see what they create!

Fun at the Haycop
Year 4 had a fantastic afternoon at Haycop Nature Reserve taking part in an invertebrate hunt! We discovered different invertebrates in different microhabitats and made some very intriguing finds!

Super Strawberries!
The Reception class are having great success with their growing area. We have harvested our second bowl of stawberries, the broad beans are growing well and we are going to sample our lettuces later this week.

Nursery News
Children in Nursery have enjoyed climbing trees at Welly Wanderers this week. They showed great control over their bodies and thought about how to keep themselves safe!

Favourite subject at school: English and Drama.

Fun fact: I have danced with my husband in the famous tower ballroom in Blackpool!
