Celebration Children

Congratulations to the following children who have made us proud this week!

Reception - Archie for fantastic progress in his writing. He is really listening to sounds and using some great vocabulary.
Year 1 - Adeline has been chosen for being a kind-hearted girl who has tried so hard in her learning this term. Well done!
Year 2 - Brinley for how well he has settled into his new class and how much effort his puts into his work. Well done for answering questions in group discussions.
Year 3 - Harlow has been chosen for her fantastic concentration and listening all week.
Year 4 - Grace for being a fantastic and supportive friend to a child who felt lonely - she made a huge difference. Thank you.
Year 5 - Flo has been chosen for working cooperatively and with enthusiasm during our soup making project.
Year 6 - Dexter for challenging himself in his own time with a very tricky maths question!

Headteacher Awards

Every week, all members of staff are asked to nominate children who have been spotted being responsible, respectful and ready. The code of conduct certificates are always varied and demonstrate the range of places and ways that children demonstrate these values.

 Be Responsible

Well done to the children who have been responsible this week.

Henry V (Y2) has helped to tidy some equipment up, that wasn't his, without being asked.

Sam (Y4) chose to hand in some money he found on the playground that wasn't his. Thank you for your honesty.

Toby F (Y1) for offering to swap his locker with someone in reception who couldn't reach theirs. A very kind choice to make.

Be Respectful

Well done to the children who have been respectful this week.

Davin and Oscar D (Y4) for helping Mrs Shannon to carry some heavy boxes through school - she was very thankful.

A child in Year 2 has been spotted helping another child find a book and then supporting them to read it by opening it too!

Jake (Y3) has helped to keep the classroom tidy all week without being asked. Thank you.

Be Ready

Well done to the children who have been ready this week.

Amelia (Y5) has shown great determination to make amazing progress in swimming lessons at William Brookes this half term - you made us very proud.

Dens and Diggers
The Reception class had a great time during their outdoor learning session this week. They worked together to create dens and made pathways for their lorries and diggers. Some children even took the dinosaurs for a ride. It was lovely to see everyone helping each other and cooperating so well.
