Celebration Children

Congratulations to the following children who have made us proud this week!

Reception - Beau for fantastic writing! Beau is sounding words out and is really tying hard to write labels and sentences.
Year 1 -Iris has been chosen for her beautiful poem using 5 senses and her kind, grown-up attitude in class.
Year 2 - Lucas has been chosen for being super sensible in the playground today. Bailey has also been a real 'ready Eddy!' Well done.
Year 3 - Gabriel has been chosen this week for coming into school with a smile on his face and being so positive.
Year 4 - A child  in this class has had fantastic ideas and punctuation in her story writing. She is making huge, impressive improvements!
Year 5 - Ed has been chosen for always taking care to present his work neatly and join his handwriting.
Year 6 - Ryan for always trying hard and remaining positive.It's lovely that you don't give up when faced with a challenge. 


Headteacher Awards

Every week Mrs Kerr will present code of conduct certificates in our celebration assembly to children who have been caught being responsible, being respectful and being ready! 


 Be Responsible

Well done to the children who have been responsible this week.

Charlie F (Yr5) and another child in Year 5 were so helpful at wet play this week supporting the reception class to play together.

Witches brew!
The Reception class had great fun during their outdoor learning this week. They used lots of different ingredients to create witches brew! The children enjoyed watching the brew bubble and steam!

Exploring division
In year 4 the children have been exploring division problems. We are learning to know what to do if we cannot make equal groups. We have learnt the word 'remainder'. The children used concrete manipulatives to show their solving of problems. Their understanding was fantastic!

Key Stage 1 P.E
This week in PE Reception were working on their fundamental skills specifically on working safely in a space. Year 1 and 2 are working on the topic of Invasion Games where both groups have looked at attackers and defenders and their purpose in an invasion game.

Football fun!
We had a great time at the Year 5 football and inclusion event at WBS this week. Our football team achieved 2nd place and we also received certificates for honesty and determination. Well done everyone!
