Celebration Children

Congratulations to the following children who have made us proud this week!

Reception - Abigail has been chosen for her sensible, mature behaviour in class. She always tries very hard.
Year 1 - The child chosen this week is Skye for being kind and helpful around the classroom.
Year 2 - Chloe has been chosen for really deepening the moment and weaving her web!
Year 3 - A child has been chosen in Year 3 for trying hard to make suggestions and answer question during class discussions.
Year 4 - This week Milly has been chosen for always being consistent in doing the right thing. She is a superstar role model.
Year 5 - Otto for showing good enthusiasm and creativity in our Shang Dynasty workshop today.
Year 6 - Liliah has been chosen this week for using great emotive language choices to engage her reader. Fantastic writing!

Headteacher Awards

Every week Mrs Kerr will present code of conduct certificates in our celebration assembly to children who have been caught being responsible, being respectful and being ready!

Jacob P (Y3) has been spotted choosing to encourage other children to play responsibly at lunch time.

Efficient Addition
Year 2 have been learning about adding numbers efficiently. This week we have been practicing adding by finding doubles and making a ten. We love using different kinds of manipulatives to help us really understand what is happening!

Designing Maps
This week, Year 1 have been looking at maps. We learnt the directions North, South, East and West and directed our friends to find objects on a map. Then we had a go at making our own! Well done Year 1!

Forest School Fun
The Reception class have been thinking about cooperation. When we visited the forest school site, we thought about how we cooperate in our play. The children made sure that they included others in their games and worked together to create dens and camp fires.

Year 3 News
In Geography this week Year 3 have been learning all about the differences between physical and human features. We worked in groups to sort each picture card and created a poster to display our understanding.

Year 4 News
For RE in Year 4 we have been discovering what the 'Trinity' is and have designed our own trinity symbols. We can't wait to take these to Broseley Church when we visit on October 19th!

Cross Country
This week some children in Key Stage 2 took part in a Cross Country competition at William Brookes School. They all put 100% effort into the tough course. We received lots of certificates for top 3 places and a few team certificates too! Well done you all showed responsibility, respect and readiness...

Parachute fun
This week in PE Reception and Year 1 were working on their fundamental skills this week specifically on changing speed and movement through parachute games. Year 2 are working on the topic of fitness where we have been completing fitness circuits.
