Celebration Children

Congratulations to the following children who have made us proud this week!

Reception - A child in reception has been chosen for being kind and thoughtful to other members of the class. 
Year 1 - This week Iris has been chosen for really trying hard in lessons this week. She listens well, always with a smile on her face.
Year 2 - A child in Year 2 has been chosen for always giving 100% effort into their work this week. 
Year 3 -
A child in Year 3 has been chosen for trying really hard to make contributions during class discussions this week.
Year 4 - This week the child chosen has always been ready to learn and is really impressing Mrs Boam with their efforts. 
Year 5 -
James has been chosen this week for woking cooperatively to produce a timeline of ancient Chinese dynasties.
Year 6 - Charlie for persevering with his writing and producing a finished newspaper report.


Headteacher Awards

Every week Mrs Kerr will present code of conduct certificates in our celebration assembly to children who have been caught being responsible, being respectful and being ready!

Well done to the children who have been responsible this week.

Grace (Yr4) has been spotted making sure all children are included in games at lunch times.

Adults in school have noticed that Henry (Yr2) has made sure he has greeted everyone with a friendly 'good morning' this week.


Be Ready

Well done to the children who have been ready this week.

Emmett (Yr3) has been ready with all the equipment he needs for our maths lessons on measurement this week.

Greedy Crocodiles
Last week, Year 1 we're using crocodiles to understand our 'greater than' and 'less than' stem sentences. We really enjoyed using the crocodiles and now understand that they are very greedy and always want to eat the greater number!

Exploring Skeletons
Year 3 have been learning to identify the major bones in the human skeleton. We learnt all the scientific names for each bone and then worked cooperatively to build a model skeleton.

Three Billy Goats Gruff!
This week, the Reception class have been reading 'The Three Billy Goats Gruff'. We decided to have a go at building bridges of our own and looked at lots of different examples of bridges to help us. The children used a range of equipment and then thought about how they could test the bridges...
