Celebration Children

Congratulations to the following children who have made us proud this week!

Reception - Maddison has been chosen this week for fantastic phonic knowledge and decoding skills. You are an amazing reader!
Year 1 - Laura for always being ready to learn and trying her best in everything she does.
Year 2 - Poppy has been chosen for always being the first person to be ready! Well done. 
Year 3 - Owen for being a polite member of class. He always works really hard and supports other members of our class if needed.
Year 4 - Sophie has been chosen for trying her absolute best in everything this week and for always being on task and ready to learn.
Year 5 - Joe for working carefully in class to produce a detailed Greek case design.
Year 6 - Kenzie has been chosen this week for making the right choices and having a great attitude.


Headteacher Awards

Every week Mrs Kerr will present code of conduct certificates in our celebration assembly to children who have been caught being responsible, being respectful and being ready! 


 Be Responsible

Well done to the children who have been responsible this week.

All of Year 1 have been chosen for helping to bring the benches and chairs in after our class photos were taken.

George (Yr5) has been spotted being a great role model to younger children at our multi-skills competition.

Jacob S and Enzo (Yr2) have been really helpful by washing and tidying up from their 'Feast for a Picky Prince' this afternoon.


Be Respectful 

Well done to the children who have been respectful this week.

Sharlise (Yr3) was noticed by a member of staff from another school for being so polite at our Partner Sports Games on Monday.

All of Reception class have been caught helping each other and being kind and considerate this week.


Be Ready

Well done to the children who have been ready this week.

All of the sports leaders were ready for the challenge of running our multi-skills competition this week.

Musical maestros
Year 4 have been showing how super they are at singing by learning our songs for the Jubilee concert at the Birch next week. They have a special role to play in one of the songs, we hope you spot it!

A visit from friends
This week our friends from Broseley C of E school came and joined us for a multi skills afternoon.Some children from Year 5 and 6 ran a range of different activities, which included batting skills, hockey, kurling and bowling. The activity leaders did an amazing job.

Perfect Painting
Reception class have been studying the painting 'Les Betes de la Mer' by Matisse this week. We talked about what we could see in the painting and the techniques that the artist used. The children worked in groups to create their own interpretations.

Year 1 News
Year 1 have been thinking about how humans change over time. We talked about some of the things we can now do that we couldn't as a baby. They brought their favourite baby photo in and played a guessing game to see if they could match the picture to the correct person. They had lots of fun!.

Name: Beckie

Likes: Running, playing netball, taking our children to theme parks and creating memories.

Dislikes: Loud chewing in a restaurant and people walking slow.

Favourite subject at school: P.E and Maths.

Fun fact: Last month I was ID to buy non-alcoholic beer and then refused as I couldn't find my during licence!.

We are so excited to announce that we have achieved Schools Games GOLD sports mark for the fourth year in a row! Well done to all the children and staff for your hard work to help to achieve this and for being involved in all the fantastic sporting opportunities we have in school.

Mini Reds Tennis!
This week some Year 3 and 4 children took part in a 'Mini Reds' tennis competition. They all played singles and doubles games and showed great skill and sportsmanship. Well done!
