ISSUE 19 

Celebration Children

Congratulations to the following children who have made us proud this week!

Reception - Iris has been chosen for her hard work in 'letters and sounds' lessons. She is much more confident and is decoding words very well! Keep it up.
Year 1 - Bailey for trying really hard in his guided reading lessons this week.
Year 2 - Edith for always being ready, respectful and responsible.
Year 3 - Ruby has been chosen for always listening carefully to instructions and trying her best. She has worked really hard this week on column subtraction. 
Year 4 - A child in Year 4 has been chosen for representing our school in orienteering and giving 100% in all the activities.
Year 5 - Charlie for showing good understanding and enthusiasm for our maths work on volume, shape and mass. 
Year 6 - Roxy for facing a difficult decision and deciding to be brave and confront your worries this week.


Headteacher Awards

Every week Mrs Kerr will present code of conduct certificates in our celebration assembly to children who have been caught being responsible, being respectful and being ready!


 Be Responsible

Well done to the children who have been responsible this week.

A child in Yr 3 has been chosen for organising a litter pick at break time to ensure our outside environment is clean.

A child in Reception has been caught collecting play equipment off the floor to make sure no one trips over.


Be Respectful 

Well done to the children who have been respectful this week.

Teddie (Yr 3) has shown polite and respectful behaviour in all our assemblies this week.


Be Ready

Well done to the children who have been ready this week.

A child in Yr 4 has been chosen for coming into school ready to learn and being a fantastic role model for the class.

Paper Making
Year 5 have been making paper from recycled materials. We had mixed feelings about the texture of the paper pulp, but our results were successful!

We're going on safari!
On Monday, the Reception class set out on safari. We created dens so that we could watch the animals without being seen. The children took binoculars and magnifying glasses to see what they could find. They made up fantastic stories that we shared back in class.
