ISSUE 9 

Celebration Children

Congratulations to the following children who have made us proud this week!

 

 

 

Reception - Henry has been chosen for trying hard with talking. He is now talking more clearly and has made lots of progress this week.
Year 1 - Penny has been trying hard in guided reading and is always a smiley and friendly member of class. 
Year 2 - Isabel for always giving her learning 110%, keeping on going and being determined in all she does.
Year 3 - Carter has been chosen for excellent art work and persevering with his watercolour technique.
Year 4 - Kaicee-Mae for persevering and never giving up in maths, she has shown lots of progress this week.
Year 5 - Natasha has been chosen for always being cheerful and polite to everyone in school. She also makes thoughtful contributions to class discussions.
Year 6 - Patrick for showing determination in all lessons and showing us how well he can do when he tries hard.


Headteacher Awards

Every week Mrs Kerr will present code of conduct certificates in our celebration assembly to children who have been caught being responsible, being respectful and being ready! 


 Be Responsible

Well done to the children who have been responsible this week.

Year 5 have been showing responsibility by taking care of the school grounds and removing litter found when planting trees.

Elsa (Year 3) for always being respectful and listening to different adults in school this week.

Beautiful Marbling
Children at Nursery have been busy creating some beautiful marbling pictures! They were fascinated by the patterns they could create, and used some amazing vocabulary to describe them, such as swirly, twirly and feathery. Well done children!

Outdoor Learning Discovery
In outdoor learning Year 5 continued to plant trees as part of the Queen's jubilee celebrations. During the session the children found a crisp packet in the under growth. When we inspected the packet closer we discovered that this crisp packet was a staggering 19 years old! It looked in...

An Elf Visit
 Reception class had a visitor, Rebecca the elf. We enjoyed reading the Oi Frog book, identifying rhyming words and after lunchtime Rebecca the elf set the children a treasure hunt. Everyone had to co-operate to find the pictures that lead us to the treasure. We all had a lovely day.

Bird Watching
Outdoor learning has been a lot quieter than usual because the children took part in the big school birdwatch. We had a wonderful time watching the birds and learning the different bird songs.

Likes: Sport, dog walking, teaching and going on holiday.

Dislikes: Cooking (too messy!) and Marmite.

Favourite subject at school: PE and English.

Fun fact: I was often in trouble at school and didn't enjoy it but my English teacher helped me to get to where I am today.
