ISSUE 107

As we come to the end of an amazing term, I just wanted to send out a quick thank-you and congratulations to a couple of adults that have been working in school.

Firstly, Miss Ralley completed her final teaching practice in our Year 5 class this term.  I think it is really special that she completed this here, as many of you will remember her as a teaching assistant before she left to undertake her degree.  Miss Ralley is now a fully qualified teacher and looking forward to taking on her first teaching role.  A very big well done!

Secondly, Mr Calcutt has decided that it is time for him to retire (again).  After offering to volunteer in school for 6 weeks, he ended up working as a teaching assistant for 6 years.  Mr Calcutt has spent his working life supporting children and their education in a number of roles: teacher, headteacher and then came back out of his first retirement to join our team as a teaching assistant.  I know that we will miss Mr Calcutt being in school, but he has promised to come back and volunteer again in the New Year, so I am sure he will be back in school soon.

Thank you for your ongoing support. I hope that you all have a lovely Christmas and we look forward to seeing you all in 2025.
