Celebration Children

Congratulations to the following children who have made us proud this week!

Reception - Erin has been chosen for trying really hard in PE lessons and clubs.  Mr Bennett, Mr Bourton and Mrs Fleming have all noticed how well she listens to instructions and she is a great team player. Well done!

Yusuf has also been chosen for being so enthusiastic and ready to learn.  He tries hard in everything he does and never gives up.  Well done!


Year 1 - Noah has been chosen for an amazing attitude towards school, super writing and behaviour on the playground.  Well done!

Quinn has been chosen for excellent writing in recent weeks.  His handwriting and spelling are making a huge improvement.  Well done!


Year 2 - Adeline has been chosen for her super story writing and joined handwriting.  Well done!

Fraser has been chosen for the great improvement in his writing and remembering to use finger spaces.  Well done!


Year 3 - Bobby has been chosen for being a brilliant response partner.  He shares ideas and thinks carefully about how to answer his questions.  Well done!

Riley has been chosen for being a brilliant response partner, asking questions to help his partner know what to do to answer a question.  Well done!

Penny has been chosen for sharing ideas in class discussions.  She thinks carefully and considers her answers.  Well done!


Year 4 - Gabriel has been chosen for his improvement in pace for writing.  Well done!

Isabelle has been chosen for a fantastic effort in all lessons.  She takes so much care in all of her work and always strives to do her best.  Well done!
 

Year 5 - Jools has been chosen for having a positive attitude in class and always being respectful of adults.  Well done

Isla has been chosen for her growing confidence in class and positive attitude in lessons.  Well done!


Year 6 - Mason has been chosen for his dedication to learning and recognising that mistakes are vital.  His inquisitive nature is infectious in every lesson.  Well done!

Eamon has been chosen for his much improved participation in class.  He is putting his hand up more and sharing ideas with the whole class.  Well done!


Headteacher Awards

Every week, all members of staff are asked to nominate children who have been spotted being responsible, respectful and ready. The code of conduct certificates are always varied and demonstrate the range of places and ways that children demonstrate these values.


 Be Responsible

Well done to the children who have been responsible this week.

George (Y3) and Riley (Y3) have reported some damage to the playtime equipment and brought it to an adult at breaktime.  Well done!

Isabella-Rose (Y3) has helped the lunchtime staff by cleaning plates and stacking them for washing up.  Well done!

Luna and another child (Y1) have tidied away some litter from the playground without being asked to do so.  Well done!


Be Respectful 

Well done to the children who have been respectful this week.

Jools (Y5) has shown polite manners to our staff when requesting we call home for PE kit.  Well done!

Olivia (Y4) demonstrated patience and respect last week when waiting for another child to finish a jigsaw together.  Well done!


Be Ready

Well done to the children who have been ready this week.

Alfie (Y6) has been ready to have a go in maths and has mastered his long division.  Well done!

Y2 Cross Country
Year 2 visited Barrow School for a Cross Country event. They showed determination and resilience to keep going and supported each other in their races. We are so proud of them. We even came back with a couple of certificates for placing 2nd and 3rd in our races. Well done

A huge congratulations to Toby (Y2) and Iris (Y2) who came 2nd and 3rd respectively in the KS1 Cross Country event at Barrow.  A fabulous achievement, well done!
