Celebration Children

Congratulations to the following children who have made us proud this week!

Reception - This child has been chosen for fantastic progress in their writing.  They are listening for sounds in words, leaving finger spaces and is even using full stops.  Well done!
Year 1 - Archie has been chosen for simply being Archie - a kind friend, a good listener and a super hard worker! Well done!
Year 2 - Henry has been chosen for super maths work involving division.  Well done!
Year 3 - Henry has been chosen for making an awesome effort in answering questions across his learning.   Bailey has also been chosen for always working hard and doing his best.  His smile brightens everyone's day!  Well done!
Year 4 - Jake has been chosen for being a creative superstar and always expressing himself well in lessons.  He also has a fabulous sense of humour.  Well done!

Dylan has been awarded a Gold Award Certificate for Piano.  Well done!


Year 5 - This child has been chosen for becoming more confident to speak aloud in class and share their ideas during discussions.  Well done!
Year 6 - Elissa has been chosen for her much improved participation in class.  Her confidence is really growing.  Well done!


Headteacher Awards

Every week, all members of staff are asked to nominate children who have been spotted being responsible, respectful and ready. The code of conduct certificates are always varied and demonstrate the range of places and ways that children demonstrate these values.


 Be Responsible

Well done to the children who have been responsible this week.

Eamon (Y6) has put away the hockey equipment at the end of break. Well done!

Mason (Y6) and Mikey (Y6) have given up their breaktime to help organise the rules for hockey. Well done!

Joyce (Y2) has tidied up without being asked.  Well done!

Ellie (Y1) has looked after belongings in the classroom.  Well done!


Be Respectful 

Well done to the children who have been respectful this week.

All of Year 5 have been chosen for being respectful to others during their visit to Coalport China Museum.  Well done!

Dylan (Y4) noticed that another child did not have a partner in assembly and so moved to make sure that they were included.  Well done!


Be Ready

Well done to the children who have been ready this week.

Eilieen (Y3) has been ready to try her hardest in maths, and is doing really well.  Well done!

Henri (Y3) has been trying his best with his phonics and is making a great improvement.  Well done!

Reception Trip to Exotic Zoo
The Reception class braved the weather this week and had a lovely day at the Exotic Zoo. We saw lots of animals from different areas of the world, and it was a great start to our topic 'Amazing safari'.

Year 4 Theatre Trip
Year 4 had the most amazing time at Wolverhampton Grand theatre watching ''The Boy at the Back of the Class". The children were engrossed in the story and their behaviour was exemplary.

Year 5 Parliamentary Response
Y5 recently wrote some persuasive letters about plastic waste to various snack companies and local MPs. We were delighted to receive a response from the MP for South Shropshire, Mr Philip Dunne.

New Nursery Friends
Children in nursery are settling back in really well after the Easter break, our new friends are enjoying some super activities!

Year 6 Recalling Knowledge
Year 6 have been recalling their knowledge on 3D shapes and nets. In pairs they first revised the properties of different 3D shapes and then used their notes to help them make an accurate 3D net. Here are some of their creations!

Year 5 and 6 Girls' Football Club
Wednesday afternoon's girls' football club is in full swing. The girls have warmed up, stretched and are ready to go! They are working on their dribbling skills in 1 v 1s and training their quick reflexes in goal keeping based drills. They will be looking forward to putting these skills...
