Celebration Children

Congratulations to the following children who have made us proud this week!

Congratulations to  the following class winners of our World Book Day competition.  The winners were chosen by the School Council members.

Reception - Arthur

Year 1 - Beau

Year 3 - A Child

Year 4 - Nancy

Year 5 - Grace

Year 6 - A Child

Nursery:

Children in Nursery have been working together to create a dominoes track with the foam blocks, and doing some amazing problem solving.  Well done!

A child in Nursery has been chosen for trying really hard with their counting and reciting numbers in order.  Well done!

The following Year 6 children have been awarded a Talent for Writing Certificate of Merit for an original piece of creative writing that was selected for publication in a Young Writer's Anthology:

Francesca, Elissa, Lottie, Amelia, Maeve, Lucy, Kaicee-Mae, Lexi and Jacob.

Well done all!

Reception - Oscar has been chosen for really trying hard to sound out words when writing simple sentences.  He is also 'flying' in guided reading too!  Well done!
Year 1 - A child in Year 1 has been chosen for reading with expression and using the pictures to re-tell the story.  Well done!
Year 2 - Phoebe has been chosen for making a super effort with her writing.  Well done!
Year 3 - Robyn has been chosen for her awesome attitude to learning.  She always gives her best and perseveres.  Well done!
Year 4 - Rosalee has been chosen for her fantastic focus and determination with some tricky poetry work.  Well done!
Year 5 - Lorelei has been chosen for settling really well into the Year 5 class and listening carefully to instructions.  Well done!
Year 6 - James and Theo have been chosen for taking time to make learning revision notes on tricky concepts with their partner to help support their recall. A lovely and collaborative idea.  Well done!


Headteacher Awards

Every week, all members of staff are asked to nominate children who have been spotted being responsible, respectful and ready. The code of conduct certificates are always varied and demonstrate the range of places and ways that children demonstrate these values.


 Be Responsible

Well done to the children who have been responsible this week.

Toby (Y2) has been chosen for tidying away chairs and tables without being asked.  Well done!

Mason (Y6) has been chosen for tidying up after others, so that the cleaners had less to do.  Well done!

Amelia (Y6) has been spotted looking after and comforting people, even when she didn't know what was wrong.  Well done!

Maddie (Y1) has been doing jobs without having to be asked and helping her class mates.  Well done!

Owen (Y5) has been nominated by his class mates for picking up litter on the school playground.  Well done!

Eileen (Y3) has been chosen for thinking for herself and making good choices.  Well done!

Riley (Y3) has made sure our school is kept tidy by putting rubbish in the bin.  Well done!

A child in Year 3 has been thinking of what they should do to make sure they always do the 'right thing'.  Well done!


Be Respectful 

Well done to the children who have been respectful this week.

Jacob (Y4) has been chosen for demonstrating beautiful manners.  Well done!


Be Ready

Well done to the children who have been ready this week.

Sophie (Y6) has been chosen for always being ready to help if anyone in her year group is struggling.  Well done!
