Celebration Children

Congratulations to the following children who have made us proud this week!

Nursery - Harry has been working really hard practising the Christmas performance. Well done Harry!

Reception - Toby F for trying really hard with your segmenting and blending when reading.

Year 1 - Riley for keeping on going to make his creative Christmas tree this week.

Year 2 - Eliza has been especially kind to other children in the class.

Year 3 - The child in this year has been chosen for putting her hand up and answering questions more and more this week.

Year 4 - Hallie for amazing resilience and perseverance in maths to show her multiplication superpowers this week.

Year 6 - Charlie H for showing a quiet determination and resolve in all that he does and Hannah for her excellent all round achievements and meticulous approach to learning.

Headteacher Awards

Every week Mrs Kerr will present code of conduct certificates in our celebration assembly to children who have been caught being responsible, being respectful and being ready! Their certificates will feature the new logos above.

Anglo-Saxon Weaving

In Year 4 we have been weaving loom designs in the style of the Anglo-Saxons who we have been studying through this Autumn term. The children have loved learning this new skill and making their own designs!

New Hockey Skills

Year 2 have started to learn how to play hockey. We learned how to hold the stick and dribble the ball. Urban Biathlon

This week some Year 5 and 6 children participated in their first Biathlon. They ran in an exciting yet messy mud run and then swam 100m. We were so impressed with their stamina and fantastic sportsmanship. Well done! Here are some action shots...

This Week in P.E

In P.E this week KS1 children did yoga sessions that tested their flexibility and balancing skills.KS2 children took part in fitness sessions which used all muscles in the body and tested their level of fitness. Exercises included lunges, running, star jumps, core moves.

Christmas Jumper Day

Everyone enjoyed wearing their Christmas jumpers this Friday, the school felt very festive. Thank you so much to all the kitchen and lunchtime staff for our delicious Christmas dinner.
