  • Key Stage 1 P.E

    This week Reception participated in a gymnastics lesson where they explored ways of travelling around, through and across apparatus. This requires balancing skills as they had to hold a balance shape for 5 seconds. It was based on Goldilocks and the 3 Bears story. 

     

    Year 1 developed their ability to jump, hop and leap over a distance with successful technique. They also developed the ability to throw with accuracy over distance by participating in a throwing themed session which included different stations. 

     

    Year 2 also developed the ability to throw with accuracy over distance by participating in a throwing themed session which included different stations. These stations included throwing beanbags at targets such as hoops and cones as well as rolling balls through gates and throwing coits.

  • Orienteering Stars!

    This week some children from Year 3 and 4 took part in an orienteering festival at William Brookes School. They all worked so hard to show good cooperation and determination to succeed. The young leaders at the festival wanted to especially award Zac and Jools for displaying friendship and kindness throughout the afternoon. Well done!

  • Tennis Coaching

    This week Year 5 were able to have a tennis coaching session with Ian from Broseley Tennis Club. They all really enjoyed the session and learnt lots of new tennis skills.

  • P.E this week

    In P.E this week Year 6 continued to work on their batting skills in rounders.

    Year 3 learnt our to play a drive shot in tri-golf.

  • Cross Country

    On Wednesday some of the children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2, took part in a cross country event hosted by Barrow school. Despite the weather being very wet, the children had a wonderful time and kept smiling throughout. Everyone ran well and showed excellent team spirit.
