  • Reception Class Explorers

    The Reception class have been thinking about what they would take with them if they were going exploring. They decided that they would need to take some sandwiches so, we made jam and cheese sandwiches and set off to find a dry spot to have our picnic. Luckily, the rain held off and we enjoyed our sandwiches under a tree!

  • Black History Month

    Year 3 have been learning all about Black History Month which is celebrated in the UK during the month of October every year. It is an opportunity for everyone to learn about significant Black and Mixed Heritage people and their contributions to Britain and worldwide.

    In Year 3, we have created some art work celebrating Nelson Mandela, Rosa Parks, Marcus Rashford, RuPaul, Martin Luther King Jr and Dwayne Johnson. Check them out on your walk into school in the morning!

  • Year 6 at Arthog

    The weather has been damp, but that hasn't stopped the groups enjoying climbing, rock scrambling, canoeing and gorge walking. Groups came together to play their part in conserving the local environment and completing the John Muir award. Everyone has had a wonderful time, and we look forward to sharing the week with everyone back at home. Arthog 2023 you have been amazing!

  • Scarecrow Festival

    The results of the scarecrow competition are in. I hope you managed to see lots of the fabulous creations. We are pleased to announce that Shrek and The Fairy Tale Forest came first in the youth category. 

    We are so proud of all of the children (and their families) for the amazing variety of scarecrows that have been produced for the ‘Fairy Tale Forest’. Thank you to one and all.

    Year 1 have had a creative week! In R.E. we have been learning about Islam and started with the Islamic creation of nature story. We found some treasures from nature which we think are special to draw. In Art we are learning about colour theory and have been busy mixing primary colours to make secondary!
